FusionCMS' API is built on the principles of REST. The URLs are resource-oriented, so that they are easily guessable and follow a pattern. The API makes use of many HTTP features such as the verbs and response codes defined by HTTP.
Stability and Development
The API is still under very heavy development. This initial version 1 of the API will be limited in what it can offer as we explore the needs of our infrastructure and developer collaboration efforts. For this reason, we have kept access to the API somewhat restricted.
The API is considered stable. When we make backwards-incompatible changes to the API, we will release a new version of the API. New versions of the API will be planned ahead of time to include large subsets of improvements and changes without the worry of breaking existing applications and integrations.
